My favorite part of being at Klein Hornig is that everyone here cares deeply about the work we do and is passionate about the firm’s mission.  Not only are we helping to provide affordable housing, we are also helping to build and support communities through the creation of early education centers, food banks, co-ops, health centers, women’s shelters, and countless other resources.  I am proud to be a part of this team and to work somewhere committed to such an important mission.

Gaia Cloutier utilizes high level administrative and organizational skills to assist Klein Hornig attorneys during all stages of a transaction.  She is responsible for coordinating and communicating with Klein Hornig staff and attorneys, managing organizational and transaction documents, assisting in the drafting of closing documents, and facilitating the execution and delivery of final documents.  She also combines her organizational and creative skillsets to design organizational and transactional structure charts.  In addition to affordable housing, much of Gaia’s work at Klein Hornig has focused on New Markets Tax Credit transactions.

Prior to joining Klein Hornig, Gaia was a legal assistant at a residential title company in Maine.  She also worked as an archivist and librarian at the New England Historic Genealogical Society, the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library, and the Newton Free Library.

It is incredible to see the things I work on start to take shape in my own neighborhood and to know that our work is also making a difference in places I have never been.  Our work isn’t abstract – it makes a tangible impact on communities and people’s lives.

I like to relax by getting my hands busy with a craft – most recently I have been doing a lot of embroidery, woodworking, and pottery.  If I have any extra free time I’m probably spending it playing with my dog, Cleo, or caring way too much about musical theater and Star Trek.
